Banners are a great way to decorate for any occasion. It's also a craft project that teacher's can do with their students.
We have put together this Halloween banner that was so easy to do and the kids had a great time with it.
You can add as much embellishment to the banner as you like. As long as the kids are having fun, keep adding the bats and ghosts.
This project is very flexible. You can use as many colors, holiday cutouts, and/or your own personal touch. Be as creative as you want to be!
Materials Needed
construction paper or color card stock
scissorsrulerscotch tapeglue stickstring or cordghosts, bats, or other cutouts
Instructions
#1. Cut out large triangle shapes from orange, black, white, and/or purple construction paper. Cut out as many triangles as needed for the length of banner you want.
#2. Also cut out ghosts, bats, or other Halloween shapes using the leftover construction paper.
#3. After all the triangles have been cut, attach them by tapping them together in the back.
#4. Next attach the string or cord to the back of the triangles with tape at regular intervals to keep the string stable.
#5. Tape or use a glue stick to attach the Halloween cutouts on the triangles for visual interest. Or use self-stick holiday specific foamies. Kids always like to make their own designs. (This is optional).
Our group of kids cut out orange pumpkins and black bats which they glued on to the triangles for their personal banners.
