#2. Lay out the candy corn on a large cookie sheet and let it dry out for 24 hours. This will remove the moisture from the candy so the wreath will not become sticky. |
This candy corn wreath is a fun craft project that you can do with your children. We used a hot glue gun so if your children are young, you can have them separate the candy and arrange them in rows for you to glue onto the form.
Materials You Will Need
#1. Open the bags of candy and have the children make sure all of the candy corn are basically the same size. Then ask them to make 2 piles of corn. Each pile should have the corn facing in the opposite direction.
#2. Dab a bit of hot glue to the styrofoam and place one piece of candy corn on it. Continue the process placing each piece of candy corn in opposite directions.
Try to work in straight rows covering the entire form. You can make a second layer which will cover any spaces. You'll need to be careful moving the wreath.
#3. For the finishing take the wreath outdoors and spray the wreath with a sealer. Leave outside until dry. This will also help to keep the candy corn stabilized on the form.
#4. Attach the Halloween foamie shapes to a toothpick and place them at random into the wreath. Then add the ribbon.
Your wreath is ready to be displayed indoors.
